Weddings

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! Our office can assist you all the way up until the day you say “I do.” Before getting married at SBC, each couple is required to take one class – “Before You Say I Do” – that is being taught by Pastor and First Lady Williams. If you are a member of Shiloh and you are interested in having Pastor Williams officiate your wedding, please contact the church office by emailing to shiloh@sbcorlando.org for assistance.

Funerals

The death of a loved one often opens a floodgate of emotions. When planning a funeral or memorial service to honor a love one, remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones, we walk alongside you in your season of grief. Pastor Williams and the SBC Benevolence team are here to assist each SBC member during these difficult times by providing support, comfort and help in funeral preparation and service for your love one.

To begin this process of planning, please call the church office at 407-422-9631 and ask for assistance.

Baby Blessings

Baby blessing is the act of giving back to God the gift He has given to parents. It is an act of worship, thanksgiving, dependence, trust and commitment. The practice of baby blessing has been modeled throughout the Bible. For example, Hannah brought her long-awaited son Samuel to the priest Eli to dedicate him to the Lord (1 Samuel 1:24-28). Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus to the temple for His dedication (Luke 2:22-24).

We recognize that salvation only comes to a child through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Therefore, it is not passed on to a child through baby blessing. Parents commit to raise their children by modeling godly principles with the desire that one day they will receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

Registration is required for baby blessings. You may schedule your child for upcoming baby blessings online or contact us at 407-422-9631.

Q: Do you have to be a member of Shiloh Baptist Church of Orlando?

A. If you are not a member of Shiloh Baptist of Orlando, contact the church for more information.

Q: If I am a single parent, may I still have my baby blessed?

A: Absolutely! A parent’s marital status has no bearing on the baby being dedicated to the Lord.

Q: Being a new Christian, I am a little nervous about all of this.

A: Baby blessings are a joyous occasion. If you are a new Christian, we are delighted to be a part of this important step in your newly found walk with Jesus. Our intent is to come alongside you and help ensure that the baby blessing is an easy-going process. We pray that your child’s blessing is significant and rewarding to you and your family.

Q: Can I take photos or record during the baby blessing?

A: Yes, taking photos is permitted.
